Welcome to Cookbook Class

Cookbook Class is now closed. :(
Please visit Recipe for a Cookbook for more information about writing a cookbook.

Cookbook Class is designed to help you write, publish, and promote your cookbook.

To get started, please sign up by registering for class. Just like going to college,
there's an entrance exam. Don't worry; it's easy. The only requirement is that you
have a foodie blog.

If you don't have a foodie blog, you might be interested in my new Recipe For a Cookbook blog, which offers general information on many aspects of writing and publishing a cookbook.

Once you're registered, you can personalize your page and upload a foodie avatar,
then get your badge and put it on your blog's sidebar to let everyone know you're a cookbook writer. Take some time to look around the site and get comfortable here, read this welcome message, check the news on the sidebar to see what's new, then head on over to the forum and let's get cooking!

A few things you can do in this virtual cookbook classroom, besides learning how
to write your cookbook, is to make new foodie friends, participate in the forum, and share your blog events. We're building a bookstore which will feature all the member's cookbooks. If you've already written a cookbook, let me know and I'll include it in the bookstore. Another thing we'll have here is food; there's a foodie feast in the forum.

We'll be using my book, Recipe for a Cookbook, as the textbook for class. You don't have to buy it to participate in class, but it is recommended because it will answer many of your questions about how to write, publish, and promote your cookbook. Read more about the book at my Recipe for a Cookbook blog. Copies can be ordered from Amazon. The link is on the left.

There are rules and regulations. I want this site to be an enjoyable experience for
everyone, so just use nice table manners and keep everything in good taste. Spam is not served here. The goodies on the table are extra helpings of cookbook information, ideas, and inspiration, along with plenty of know-how and generous portions of how-to for creating, cooking, and serving your cookbook with style and flair.

The cookbook class is free and is open to everyone who wants to write a cookbook--whether you're just beginning to think about the possibility of writing a cookbook, you've started writing it, you're in the middle, you're stuck, you've already written your cookbook and want to promote it, or you're dreaming about becoming a world-famous cookbook author.

Please come on in, make yourself at home, and let's write a cookbook!
